Seize The Benefits

Psalms 103

Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,

And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;

Who forgives all your sins,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy;
Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.

The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all the oppressed.
He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in compassion and lovingkindness.

He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve],
Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Just as a father loves his children,
So the Lord loves those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
For He knows our [mortal] frame;
He remembers that we are [merely] dust.

As for man, his days are like grass;

Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

For the wind passes over it and it is no more,
And its place knows it no longer.

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [reverently] fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,

To those who honor and keep His covenant,
And remember to do His commandments [imprinting His word on their hearts].

The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].

Bless the Lord, you His angels,
You mighty ones who do His commandments,
Obeying the voice of His word!

Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,
You who serve Him and do His will.

Bless the Lord, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion;
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul!

Pray to the Lord Jesus Christ, the lover of your soul believing the word, asking on your behalf, your neighbor, the generations, your city, state, and nation.

Flatten the (Coronavirus) Curve Friday

Flatten the Curve Friday

Ask for a spirit of grace and supplication as you pray for the curve to flatten!

2 Corthinians 1:11

Join us in this work. Lend us a hand through prayer so that many will give thanks for the gift that comes to us when God answers the prayers of so many.

verses 8-10 tell us why they asked for the joining of prayer:

My brothers and sisters, we have to tell you that when we were in Asia the troubles we faced were nearly more than we could handle. The burdens we bore nearly crushed us. Our strength dwindled to nothing. For a while, we weren’t sure we would make it through the whole ordeal. We thought we would have to serve out our death sentences right then and there. As a result, we realized that we could no longer rely on ourselves and that we must trust solely in God, who possesses the power to raise the dead. 10 Miraculously, God, Himself delivered us from the cold hands of death. We again place our hope in Him alone, and we know He will deliver us.

Pray

Father, we thank you, you’re both mighty and merciful, we too as your people ask for the work of your delivering hand over this coronavirus. Deliver us from the evil of this hidden enemy and premature death, deliver our city (name your city) deliver our state (name your state) and together in unity of prayer, in one spirit, deliver our nation back to you.
We ask for a miraculous work of your hand over our nation; we plead the report of your atoning blood to speak across the state lines. We place our hope, our focus, and strength in the Holy Spirit and truth. We thank you and hold you to the integrity of your word that it shall not return void but will succeed in the matter in which it is sent for the greater glory of your name.

Isa 8:9 – Decree, listen closely Corona Virus, get ready… to be shattered!!!

Listen closely, even if you’re far away:
Get ready for battle—get ready to be battered;
get ready for battle—get ready to be shattered.

Isa. 1:28 – Decree the Corona Virus curve to be crushed, shattered, and ask for the warring angels to complete our petitions and prayers.

But those who arrogantly persist in doing wrong will be crushed.

Psalms 106:44

Nevertheless, He saw their great struggle, took pity on them,
and heard their prayers;

Romans 8:26

A similar thing happens when we pray. We are weak and do not know how to pray, so the Spirit steps in and articulates prayers for us with groaning too profound for words

Acts 12

but fervent and persistent prayer for him (Peter) was being made to God by the church.

Amazing! The Lord has sent His messenger to rescue

When Peter came to his senses, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel and has rescued me.

We too, friends, will know for certain we have been rescued by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Col 4:2-6 – Encouragement with purposes to remain constant & continue to pray.

Pray, and keep praying. Be alert and thankful when you pray.  And while you are at it, add us to your prayers. Pray that God would open doors and windows and minds and eyes and hearts for the word so we can go on telling the mystery of the Anointed, for this is exactly why I am currently imprisoned. Pray that I will proclaim this message clearly and fearlessly as I should.

 Be wise when you engage with those outside the faith community; make the most of every moment and every encounter. When you speak the word, speak it gracefully (as if seasoned with salt), so you will know how to respond to everyone rightly.

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you,

Simply Pray but Pray Now!

Your prayers need not be labored or lengthy or grandiose—for your Father knows what you need before you ever ask Him.

Your prayers, rather, should be simple, like this:

    Our Father in heaven,
        let Your name remain holy.
    Bring about Your kingdom.
    Manifest Your will here on earth,
        as it is manifest in heaven.
   Give us each day that day’s bread—no more, no less—
    And forgive us our debts
        as we forgive those who owe us something.
   Lead us not into temptation,
        but deliver us from evil.
    [But let Your kingdom be,
        and let it be powerful
        and glorious forever. Amen.

The Lord has ordained functioning principals in His Word as well as His function of Great Grace. Listen to Word on Unfolded Hearts-Talk.

//percolate.blogtalkradio.com/offsiteplayer?hostId=123613&episodeId=9765783   Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Giving Thanks

The book of Thessalonians was written with a focus on
The Soon Coming King.
Interesting? As you read the passage below, do you find these verses to have a stunning and resonating sound for today?

1 Thessalonians 5:15-22 (AMPLIFIED)
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench [subdue, or be unresponsive to the working and guidance of] the [Holy] Spirit. Do not scorn or reject gifts of prophecy or prophecies [spoken revelations—words of instruction or exhortation or warning]. But test [all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil [withdraw and keep away from it].

Did you read in the center of it all: past, present and future, these verses supply a truth that will forever remain? We can find God’s heart and will again and again. It’s found central to our giving – thanks, continual prayer, rejoicing and delighting in the faith.

Give-thanks: To be grateful, feel thankful, give thanks. Friend, this is how we stay plugged into God.

Pray continually: this one is obvious, happening all the time, always loyal.

Rejoice: success in doing, finding a source or cause of great happiness; connect your joy to your delight in the faith and you will begin to rejoice.

Give Thanks to God

Here are few give-thanks verses we find in scripture that have the same meaning as when we read in:

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Matthew 26:36 – And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.

Matthew 26:27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.

John 6:23 – however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks—

John 11:41- Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

Lastly, Romans 1:8 supplies giving-thanks and a prayer
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Prayer:
Father, I humbly thank you that in the midst of your brokenness you gave thanks. You continue to walk beside me through every season of my life. In times of great hope and hopelessness you strengthen my faith, may it not fail? You’re an ever present help in time of need. Thank-you! Grant opportunities of grace so that I can share my faith effectively with others. May I rely, lean on and trust in You. Thank you, You hear my prayer!

Quote:
Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.

What Great Love!

Jeremiah 31:3 says, “The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: ‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.'” The Lord’s love is everlasting. In 1 John 4:7 we read, “God is love.” We cannot separate the two. Therefore, before creation was spoken into existence, love was present. Before it was know or seen, His love existed. Even before you or I existed, His love was present, and directed with regard concerning each of us. Matthew 18:20 says, “Whenever two or three are gathering in his name, he is in the midst of them.” He is in the midst of us, even now, friends. Hebrews 13:3 declares. “I will never leave you or forsake you” His love will forever remain; He has willed and continues to love you with His everlasting love. Selah, pause.

His heart yearns to be ministered to by our love. In all of His creation, we are the only creatures who can express our love back to Him.

Action: Take the time today and express your gratitude to God for the love He has lavished upon you!

John 3:16 ” For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten [unique] Son, so that whoever believes in [trust in, clings to, relies on] Him shall not perish [come to destruction, be lost] but have eternal [everlasting] life.”

This passage from John indicates the relationship of the Father’s love to the work of Christ and of both to the life of believers. John, Jesus’ beloved, is the same disciple who wrote the 4th Gospel, as well as the Epistles of 1 John. The first Epistle of John relates to fellowship and faith as John was writing, looking back, giving an account of his daily fellowship with Jesus. It’s an account with a distinctive quality worth meditating on as well as to gain an understanding of love. John’s writings provide one third of the references to love in the bible.

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul describes love as a “more excellent way” than tongues or even preaching. Wow- love above preaching. We don’t even have to leave our homes to practice the highest regard of the gospel. Paul uses the greek word “agape” to describe love in this verse meaning charity, affection, and good will. This is a sacrificial expression that is voluntary in nature, yet it becomes supreme as we weigh the price of Christ’s divine sacrifice.

When we learn more of love we learn more of God. We cannot separate the two.

Emphasize Good Points: focus on qualities you most admire.

Don’t: Complain, interrupt, nag, argue, correct– shhhh

Learn to be: Thankful and Content.

Smile: it creates contagious happiness.
